down hill wheels

heyy guys today im gonna tell you about some good downhill longboard wheels.
these wheels are mainly for down hill but you could pull out a slide if you sand of the edege.
because of the wide wheel base it gives you for coverage on the road witch gives you more speed, more grip and basicly a epic wheel.
i have only ride the monser hawgs and inheats and the monsters are a much better wheel because the really hug coners at high speeds and the inheats i have found that they have slipped out a few times when i dont want them to. witch makes the wheel a bit unpritictable. these wheels are only a few of the ones that are out there. so try them all and find witch wheel suits you. also if you are riding a board with a big wheel like these the either tighten up your trucks or get some risers cause you will get wheel bit because of how big these wheels are so big. so softer wheels will give you more grip but they will slow you down i bit more. harder wheels are faster and they slide easyer. eg: abec 11 big zig REFLEX are softer so they will hug corners but will also slow you down. somthing like the inheats 83a are a harder wheel so they are faster but they can also slide out easyer. i think they reason why i slid out is because i have been sliding on my inheats so they have lost they sharp edege and have now got a rounded lip.

landyatchz switchblade

heyy guys... to day im gonna do a review on the landyatchz switchblade :)

the landyatchz switchblade is a Symmetrical shape ideal for free-riding
2.25cm of dropped platform for a lower center of gravity and more stability you can also top mount it for a higher ride and i honestly find this better when it comes to slide because i get a bit of wheel bit when the trucks are through the board witch can lead to a few nasty falls..
Wheelbase: 31.5inch
Length: 40.5inch
Width: 10 inch
Construction is 9 ply's of Canadian maple
with W concave witch really locks your feet in for those big checks, 180, 360 ETC
the problem with this board is that the W is in the middle of the deck witch means you don't use it as much as u should ... unless you ride with your feet in the middle of the deck it is pritty useless :(

otang nipple bushings

heyy guys.. today im gonna do a review on the Otang nipples..
the nipples come in different formulas.

85a orange
87a purple
89a yellow

i have been riding the 85a orange on my landyatchz switchblade and they are sick :) they are a very soft so they are pritty good for sliding and stuff... if you are looking for more frestyle i would look at the harder ones cause your trucks wont turn as much and it will make it easyer for shuv-it's and stuff like that..

i would not recomend these for down hill cause they are a little tipsy when it comes to that...

thanks for reading my review on the Otang nipple bushings :) remeber skate safe always wear your helmet and prtective gear and have fun :)

longboarding the sunny coast

heyy guys.. im gonna be tellin you were a few good spots are on the sunshine coast!! if you are lookin for a good sliding hill there is a place that i went to with a few mates called sugar wood.... it is pritty much a massive hill were you can pull out mssive check's, 180's, toside, heelside, hands down etc..

another good place is the noosa hill climb wich is a mssive hill which as been closed... it has somthing like 15-18 turns!! it is about cruising speed if you take your time. but people do hit around 30-40 on this hill so it is not that fast but u can still pick up a little bit of speed... aanother good area is a little town called mooloolah. it has heaps of nice smooth hills. the road is icy so you could easly pull out big 10m slides or even longer. i live in mooloolah so i know :) the town is nice a safe not many cars around so you wont have to worry about cars commin round the corner unexpextedly. witch is pritty sweet if you asl me.
there is also a pritty sick skate park there as well ill put up a pick down the bottem :) also right next to the skate park there is a massive bmx track with one massive roll in :)
thanks for reading my post. always wear your helmet and skate safe :)

SPECS

42” – Yes, it seems like a long board. But you have to consider the nose and tail are each 4.5” long.

9.75” – We designed this board with a men's size 8 to 11 shoe in mind.  We feel that 9.75" is a good width to allow your toes and heels to slightly touch each rail so you know where you are on your board and do not have to shift your feet around when transitioning from heelside to toeside slides. Although the width is slightly less than many other downhill boards on the market, we have tested with several foot sizes (including Adam Stokowski's gigantor boat feet) and have found that it is a comfortable size for most non-silverback riders.

28.5” – We have experimented with super small wheelbases of 26” in the past and find that 28.5” gives you the best of both worlds: not too big and not too small.  Makes maneuverability great and sliding comfortable and fun.

??? – We are aiming to make this board as light as possible, while still durable and damp.

FEATURES

ROCKER – For this type of riding we have fallen in love with rocker and the locked-in feeling it provides for sliding. We realize that there is a fine line to rocker: too much rocker feels awkward and too little feels like nothing at all.  So we have put in a nice amount of rocker that gives just enough of that comfortable cradling and sunk-in feel that we love.

NOSE & TAIL KICKS - The symmetrical nose and tail on this board (well, it's really a misnomer to say "nose and tail" as the board is completely symmetrical) have gone through a variety of protos of different lengths and widths.  At first we tried doing very short and subtle kicks but came to realize that if we were going to have a nose and tail on this board we should go all the way and make them large, comfortable and very functional.  Enough length to them that when you mess up on a manual the tail hits the ground first rather than being too short and letting your foot slip off.  This board is not designed to be an amazing ollie machine, but the nose and tail are long/wide enough to bust out an ollie if you get the timing down.  The nose and tail feel especially good for shovits, manuals of all varieties, popping the board into your hand and for hitting small ferocious animals. We are actually going to be making the nose and tail slightly wider than the nose and tail you see in the images.

GRAB RAILS - The underside of this board has two sets of grooves on each side that are both functional and weight-reducing. The outer grooves are positioned for your fingers to grab during toeside and heelside predrifts, while the inner grooves are set deeper in toward the center of the deck to provide grip for early grabs.
