otang baluts

heyy guys im gonna tell you about the orangatang baluts.

the balut is a freeride/ free style wheel.
because of its large holo core it makes it really light for your freestyle stuff .. EG; kickflips , shuvits bigspins etc..

i have been riding these wheels for about a month and i love them.. i have the 80a version (orange) and i have almost cored one :)

as normal for orangatang the durometers are 80a orange, 84a purple and 86a yellow.
this wheel has a new formula so dont be fooled by its large core and think that it will wear in really fast.. the new formula gives it a longer lasting life and a very nice smooth predictable slide.

the are 72.5 by 44mm and have a contact patch of 35mm. they are senterset so you can flip them them when they start to wear :)

thanks for reading my review on the otang baluts.. remeber always wear your helmet and skate safe :)

2012 lanyachtz wolfshark

heyy guy im gonna do a review on the 2012 landyachtz wolfshark..

the wolfshark is a top mount speed board made out of canadian maple and features rocker and W concave with a 1.8" micro drop and also has gass pedels on each side..

the board is 37.25" long and 10" wide with a 24 - 29" wheel base.. this board is a great board to have it is stabel has a low amount of flex witch os really nice and confutable under your foot.. the problem with this board is it gets alot of wheel bit with your standered bear 852 trucks and i would not go anything over a 70mm wheel.. the board should be fine with a 1" or 1/2" riser on it..

right now i have the bear 852 trucks with 70mm Otang 4prez and all weather ceramic bearings..
this board is great for bombing hills and also pushing out a massive slide.. is has a sick as graphic of a proper wolf shark with some cliffs behind it and big crashing waves.. the have really improved on alot of things with this board but unfotunatly you still get a fair bit of wheel bite like the original wolfshark..

you can pick up this board from about longboard/skate shop.. ifyou are looking for a really cheap place to buy this board and you are in QLD i would check out http://www.kitesurfaustralia.com.au/..

thanks for reading.. remeber to always wear your helmet and skate safe :)

otang 4prez

heyy guys today im gonna do a review on the otang 4prez

these wheels are a really good all round wheel.. you can use them for down hill, freeriding/freestyle even just cruising around.. they are a very durable wheel.. they do not come pre broken in so if your wanting to get these wheels for sliding you will have to break them in first.. they are a 70mm wheel with a 53mm contact patch.. they come in the diferent duros. 80a 83a and 86a.. i really like these wheels because they are small and you can basicly do anything on them.. they are a squared lip wheel and they are also really good for down hill because they will hug the corner and not slide out as easy witch is a very good thing to have :)

thanks for reading :) umm if you have any requests u would like me to do i will be happy to do it for you can contact me at jlongboards24@gmail.com.. always wear your helmet and skate safe :)

the trucks are a very high quality carving truck truck that come in a wide range of diferent colours such as purple, blue, red, gold, black, raw ETC these trucks are very nice..

loaded bhangra

heyy guys today im gonna do a review on the loaded bhangra.. this board is like the ultimate dancing/freeride/freestyle board.. it is 48.5" long by 9.5" width with a 32.75" wheel base.. i love this board. it can do anything. you can dance you can slide you can do basicly anything on this board.. i mean i have seen people board slide and grind on this board so yeah it is sick.. it is made out of bamboo so i has i nice springy feeling to it.. the board has rocker caoncave with a slight "U" bend to it so really confitable under your feet and really locks your foot in well. recomended set up is paris 180s or bear 852 trucks and nothing over 76mm for wheels :)

thanks for reading my review on the loaded bhangra :)

seismic bootlegs

heyy guys today im gonna do my review on the siesmic bootlegs 80a

these wheels are a really nice smooth wheel.. they come in 80a red and 84a blue.. but i only have 80 so yeah.. this is a really nice wheel. it has a very prdictable slide.. leaves a nice amount of thane behind.. it is a 70mm wheel with a 50mm contact patch and is a snter set wheel..
i have been riding this wheel for about 2 months.. and i love it.. if you have the money for this wheel get it you wont regret it.. :)

project x movie trailer

heyy guys today im gonna be telling you about a movie that i think is really sick. the movie is called project x. the movie is basicly about three really nerdy unpopular guys who well wnat to be popular and get the girls and etc.. the party was really for there mates birthday while there parents have gone away for the weekend.
so you can gess what happens.. teenagers + music + drugs/alcohol + girls = on awsome party and usually ends up bad witch it did.. not gonna say anything more on that part.. now the movie is halerious.. it iss just WOW but so you know this movie is rated R18+ so not for the younger eyes but if u like party movies u will find this move epic.. :)

i will post a trailer below :) cheers

landyatchz 9two5

heyy guys today im gonna do a review on th landyatchz 9two5

they 9two5 is a awsome freeride board it is 40.5" long by 10" wide with a 31" wheel base. it is made out of 9ply candian maple and has rocker concave. it also has gass pedals on either side of the board witch really helps to hole you slides out longer. this board is made fo freeriding with light bombing. i would recomend a truck like the bears 852 becuase it somehow stops you from getting as much wheels bite on the board.. but im riding 200mm surfrodz and i have had none so far. once again this is a great board it is nice and low to the ground has has a very nice feel to it :)

thanks for reading remeber skate sfe always wear your helmet and have fun :)

otang stimulus

heyy guys today im gonna do my review on the otang stimulus wheels.

the stims are a free ride wheel witch come in three diferent duros 80a 83a and 86a.. they are a 70mm wheel with a 42mm contact patch. these wheels are a great all round free ride wheel with a pre broken in contact patch which means they are ready to slide right out of the box and you wont have to go thru that breaking in stage where the wheel becomes really grippy..

thanks for reading m review on the otang stimulus. remeber always wear you helmet have fun and skate safe :)

how to: 180 slide

heyy guys

for those how dont know w=how to slide im going to tell you.

you will need to have your feet about shoulder width maybe abit wider
your back foot will hang about half way and your front foot will be about as close as you can get them to the bolts without having your foot on the blots..

i find it helps if you know whow to pivot so you can get used to the feeling of being swung around:)

now you transfer 90-100% of your weight to your front foot and push with your back..

i find it easy if you compress whil you go into the slide..
so compress then spring up as you push around..

and dont forget to follow through with the motion of it... dont keep your upper body in the same spot follow it through..

so
1. foot postion
2. compress
3. follow through
4. ride away

so once you have got that down you an take it to a hill.. now when your going to do it on a hill you will need to lean back a little but not to much so that you fall of but just enough for you to be confitable :)

hope this helps

remeber always wear your helmet and if your riding one the road rember to always respect the road rules and the cars have right of way not you.. :) happy skating

apex 40 double concave

heyy guys today im gonna say my thoughts on the apex 40 double concave and tell you if it worth your money :)

the apex is 40" by 10" and has a new style of concave called double.. what this is is a micro drop on either end and raised on either side so basicly the cocave dosent just stop at the tails like alot of boards...
the board has candian maple and carbon wedge between to layers of fiberglass witch makes it really light, it also has carbon fiber on either side so that the kicks dont just brake of when u land a massive trick.. so you wont have to worrie about snapping it!

it has a wheel base of 27.5 or 29inchs
the kicks are 5inch wide and and 3.5 long and 1.1inch tall witch makes a desent kick :)

right now i have bears 852 trucks with 86a stimmys (yellow) and bones redz bearings..

if your gonna be doing freestyle/ free ride id go for the closet wheelbase of 27.5" if ur going to be pur slide or down hill go for something a bit wider :)

thanks for reading my review on the apex 40 double concave and remeber always wear your helmet and skate safe :)

surf rodz trucks

heyy guys today im gonna do a review on the surf rodz precision trucks..

i have been riding these trucks for a few days now and i have fallen in love with them..
alot of people think that precision trucks are just for down hill... and by me telling you that im using the trucks for freeriding/freestyle u would think that im a idiot or something rather... i can tell you now that these are sick for freeriding/ freestyle... they are a really nice smooth ride and they just dive in and out of slides, carves whatever u can think of u could probs do it one these trucks :)

i have them on my LANDYACHTZ 9two5 with 80a 70mm sismec bootlegs.... my trucks are raw and black.. with a 200mm hanger and 45 degree base plate..

the down fall with these trucks are that it is a alen key to take of ur wheels and there is a set screw in the truck it self soo it just takes a bit longer to change wheels.. but in the end it is worth it...

here is a picture of my friends surf rodz...

here is a video that will show you how to set up ur trucks and will also explain a little more on the trucks :)

thanks for reading my review on surf rodz trucks and i hope this helps :) skate safe and have fun

cheers :)

How you got into Longboarding: My friend Alex bought a longboard and I tried it out a few times and it seemed rad. Then I looked up a few videos of people doing slides and stuff on longboards and then I knew I had to have one.

Your greatest accomplishment in Longboarding: Making it on the front cover of concrete wave magazine.

billy bones : team rider for landyacthz longboards

billy bones is one of the riders for landyatchz longboards. im gonna do a interview on him to day :)

Hometown: Portland, Oregon, USA

Years spent on a skateboard: A lot

Best Place you've skated and what was it like: Pacific Northwest. There's a wide variety of hills to hit up and the skateparks here are some of the best in the world.

Craziest place you want to skate: Europe or Japan

How you got into Longboarding: I got a longboard from World Boards in Bozeman, Montana. It was on sale for really cheap and then I started using that to cruise down sidewalks and little hills. I didn't really know what I was doing though. Once I moved to Portland I got the S9 video Bomb Hills Not Countries and that got me really jazzed on longboarding. I started hitting up bigger hills and eventually got involved with Zoobomb.

Your greatest accomplishment in Longboarding: 1st - Sully 2008, 2nd - Danger Bay 7, 4th - Danger Bay 6

What is the most elaborate thing you have ever built: My mom and I built a skateboard rack that is pretty cool. I think it took us a couple days to build.

What is your favorite meal to cook and how do you make it: Grilled salmon with zucchini and avocado mashed potatoes. I get a 1/2-1 pound salmon fillet (depending if I'm feeding 1-2 people) and put lemon slices and small squares of butter on the fillet. Once the salmon is all dressed up I make a tin-foil bed for it and put it on the grill at medium heat. I make a big bowl of mashed potatoes and then throw an avocado in at the end to give it a little flavor (it gives it a cool green color too). Then I slice a zucchini into quarters and put those on the grill as well. It's good to rotate the zucchini's while your checking on the salmon. Once everything it cooked I put it all on a fancy plate with a little garnish and call it good.

If handed $364 right now what would you do with it: First, I'd go to the Albina Press and get an americano. Then I'd start browsing online to see what kind of plane ticket I could get with the rest of the money.

Inspirations in life and longboarding: My parents, friends, people I skate with, the Zoobomb community, Glenna, and anybody else who has taught me to have fun and enjoy life.

thanks for reading my interview with billybones :) remeber always wear your helmet and protective gear and skate safe :)

this interview was taken off the landyatchz web-site http://www.landyachtz.com/D245.cfm

my top 3 stacks

huy guys today im gonna tell you about my top 3 stacks.
1. i was playing soft ball and when i went for the ball i sliped and sprained my wrist. then the next day i was told not to do anything like ride my skate board. but being me i jumped in the board and then about 4sec after i got on i hit a pot hole and broke my wirst.
2. when i went over to my mates house to go for a skate we went down on of his hills out the bak of his house. the hill looked pritty small from up the top well it was it was just very long. about half way down i started to get wobbles and a car was coming behind me so i knew the if i turned i would stack and at this time i was hitting about 40. i saw a turn off so went for that but as soon as i turned my left wheels jamed and i went flying over the board and rolled about 2-3 times before stopping. when i got up i hade ripped my knees and hands and my bak was sheredded.
3.i was skating the carpark at noosa and i tryed to do a check around the corner. but when i did i leant forward not bak and my wheels gripped and i face planted on the road and split my chin.

thanks for reading. remeber skate safe always wear you helmet and have fun.

landyatchz 2012 boards

heyy guys today im gonna tell you about some of the new landyahtcz boards that will be released soon.

first we have the LANDYAHTCZ toma hawk.
the tomahawk is ruffly 40-41inch's long by 9inch wide.. it has a half inch drop with W concave. overall i think this board would be a great allround board. longenough to do all your cross step, dancing ETC but yet short enough for you to pull out insane slides :)

also LANDYACHTZ is releasing the switchblade 36 witch is a shurnken version of the switchblade. this board would be pretty good for the younger range of skaters with smaller feet. or the people who just like a shourter board. as the normal switchblade it has aggresive concave witch would really lock ur feet in well :)

now the big thing is that landyahtcz is realesing the landyatchz wolfshark :) i think theboard looks sick. it is 37" by 9.75" with rocker concave like the nine to five and a slight W concave as well..
overall i think the old wolfshark looks better but the 2012 version would stand out a mile away :)

thanks for reading remeber to always wear you protective gear and skate safe :)
