billy bones : team rider for landyacthz longboards

billy bones is one of the riders for landyatchz longboards. im gonna do a interview on him to day :)

Hometown: Portland, Oregon, USA

Years spent on a skateboard: A lot

Best Place you've skated and what was it like: Pacific Northwest. There's a wide variety of hills to hit up and the skateparks here are some of the best in the world.

Craziest place you want to skate: Europe or Japan

How you got into Longboarding: I got a longboard from World Boards in Bozeman, Montana. It was on sale for really cheap and then I started using that to cruise down sidewalks and little hills. I didn't really know what I was doing though. Once I moved to Portland I got the S9 video Bomb Hills Not Countries and that got me really jazzed on longboarding. I started hitting up bigger hills and eventually got involved with Zoobomb.

Your greatest accomplishment in Longboarding: 1st - Sully 2008, 2nd - Danger Bay 7, 4th - Danger Bay 6

What is the most elaborate thing you have ever built: My mom and I built a skateboard rack that is pretty cool. I think it took us a couple days to build.

What is your favorite meal to cook and how do you make it: Grilled salmon with zucchini and avocado mashed potatoes. I get a 1/2-1 pound salmon fillet (depending if I'm feeding 1-2 people) and put lemon slices and small squares of butter on the fillet. Once the salmon is all dressed up I make a tin-foil bed for it and put it on the grill at medium heat. I make a big bowl of mashed potatoes and then throw an avocado in at the end to give it a little flavor (it gives it a cool green color too). Then I slice a zucchini into quarters and put those on the grill as well. It's good to rotate the zucchini's while your checking on the salmon. Once everything it cooked I put it all on a fancy plate with a little garnish and call it good.

If handed $364 right now what would you do with it: First, I'd go to the Albina Press and get an americano. Then I'd start browsing online to see what kind of plane ticket I could get with the rest of the money.

Inspirations in life and longboarding: My parents, friends, people I skate with, the Zoobomb community, Glenna, and anybody else who has taught me to have fun and enjoy life.

thanks for reading my interview with billybones :) remeber always wear your helmet and protective gear and skate safe :)

this interview was taken off the landyatchz web-site http://www.landyachtz.com/D245.cfm

my top 3 stacks

huy guys today im gonna tell you about my top 3 stacks.
1. i was playing soft ball and when i went for the ball i sliped and sprained my wrist. then the next day i was told not to do anything like ride my skate board. but being me i jumped in the board and then about 4sec after i got on i hit a pot hole and broke my wirst.
2. when i went over to my mates house to go for a skate we went down on of his hills out the bak of his house. the hill looked pritty small from up the top well it was it was just very long. about half way down i started to get wobbles and a car was coming behind me so i knew the if i turned i would stack and at this time i was hitting about 40. i saw a turn off so went for that but as soon as i turned my left wheels jamed and i went flying over the board and rolled about 2-3 times before stopping. when i got up i hade ripped my knees and hands and my bak was sheredded.
3.i was skating the carpark at noosa and i tryed to do a check around the corner. but when i did i leant forward not bak and my wheels gripped and i face planted on the road and split my chin.

thanks for reading. remeber skate safe always wear you helmet and have fun.

landyatchz 2012 boards

heyy guys today im gonna tell you about some of the new landyahtcz boards that will be released soon.

first we have the LANDYAHTCZ toma hawk.
the tomahawk is ruffly 40-41inch's long by 9inch wide.. it has a half inch drop with W concave. overall i think this board would be a great allround board. longenough to do all your cross step, dancing ETC but yet short enough for you to pull out insane slides :)

also LANDYACHTZ is releasing the switchblade 36 witch is a shurnken version of the switchblade. this board would be pretty good for the younger range of skaters with smaller feet. or the people who just like a shourter board. as the normal switchblade it has aggresive concave witch would really lock ur feet in well :)

now the big thing is that landyahtcz is realesing the landyatchz wolfshark :) i think theboard looks sick. it is 37" by 9.75" with rocker concave like the nine to five and a slight W concave as well..
overall i think the old wolfshark looks better but the 2012 version would stand out a mile away :)

thanks for reading remeber to always wear you protective gear and skate safe :)

early tb pro model

heyy guys today im gonna do a review on the early tb pro model.

the early is a freeride/downhill board. it is 36.7-10.4" it has a weel base of 29.6" and is made out of 9 ply canadian maple.
it is a top mount board witch means you have more controll but it is higher so it means a little less stable then a drop deck.
i have been riding this board for about a month now and for down hill i think it is a sick board but for sliding i think you should keep looking :)
the board has W concave witch helps lock your feet in.
the kick out things on the side can be used as gas peddle to look your foot in more when you want to do a slide.
right now i have got bears 852 black, zombie hawgs yellow and bones red bearings. i dont really like bears for free riding but down hill they are sick :)

thanks for reading my review and remeber skate safe and always wear your helmet.
